6 ambitious ideas for team integration
It is hard to find someone, who’ll deny the role of team building events in developing the bonds and growing atmosphere among workers. Today we will focus on some more ambitious ways you can do it. Drinking together is ok, but why not engage in something, which may be more beneficial? Check out our team integration ideas! (P.S. If you are from Krakow, we’ve got some special attraction for you)
Gather your employees for a common cooking event. Divide them into several teams or pairs and instruct them to prepare specific kind of meals (can be different or the same for all). It is up to you whether it will be the best pasta, burgers, pancakes, cookies or pies. Basically, the more diversely the better, as afterwards you will all gather together to taste each of the dishes and select the winners of the contest. Don’t forget to prepare some symbolic awards, like a small cutlery set or a chef’s hat. Cook-off is always a good team integration idea, as it is not only a chance to see who is the best cook, but also to take a close look at the cooperation of given individual workers.
A company-wide scavenger hunt will help you reminisce good old childhood times, combining fun, friendly competition and even a bit of company culture. Any company or organization can organize a scavenger hunt, as there is no participant limit. Divide your team into groups of 2 to 7 people and sent them off to accomplish various goals. The more unusual they will be, the better. You can i.e. tell your contestants to find 10 different colored paper clips or check out who has visited the largest number of countries etc. Subconsciously, the workers get to know each other better as well as become acquainted with the office, its topography etc.
Volunteering for a good cause
It may be cleaning up the world together, engaging in some charity collection or help in some shelter or founding hospital. Regardless of what action you will choose, volunteering will be always a great way to integrate your employees, boost their morale and strengthen their adherence to your company. To say nothing of the corporate social responsibility aspect and how it will help you bring a positive image of your brand.
Who says that painting or cooking classes can’t be developing for your team? Even if you work in e.g. IT sector, it can be a nice change to your everyday chores. Hire some local artists, willing to conduct such an event for your company and organize a canvas or glass painting workshop for your employees. You can also engage some professional chef to come and cook something at your office or join a show in one of the cooking schools.
Take part in a sports event, like a football, basketball, volleyball, speedway or match. Or…organize it yourself! Book a sports ground, set up some mixed teams and play a match of one of the team games. It can be football, basketball or even beach volleyball. Outdoor entertainment is always beneficial and helps one build a better team spirit. It doesn’t matter who’ll win, it is all about good fun and sharing emotions together.
Take your team for a bubble football game, trampoline park frolics or an axe-throwing contest. Try to think of the least obvious attractions available in your vicinity and organize an outdoor event there. Axe throwing in Bad Axe club in Krakow can be a great way to spend time, to release tension and get rid of all negative emotions. It can be fun for both men and women, as basically you will all dress as Vikings and have a common goal – to score the highest number of points.
